1. Types of teak wood

Often regarded as the wood with the most beautiful fiber texture, teak is internationally renowned not only for its beauty, but also for its very strong resistance to weather, temperature, mold and insects. Because of its benefits, teak is one of the most expensive woods on the market and can only be obtained through government-approved distributors. Wooden chairs or wooden tables made of teak are the most sought-after furniture by many people because of their quality and durability.

2. Types of Merbau Wood

Due to the hardness of Merbau wood, it is widely used as a material for making minimalist furniture. This type of wood has a reddish-brown color and is highly resistant to insect attacks. It is this quality that places Merbau Wood as the main alternative to teak wood. In terms of price, it is only slightly below teak.

3. Types of mahogany wood

In Indonesia, especially on the island of Java, mahogany is found in abundance. A shorter planting period and a relatively cheaper price make Mahogany another choice of Teak. However, the lack of resistance to termites should be noted. Mahogany has a color tone in the range from red to pink. It has a smooth texture and is easy to cut and shape.

4. Types of Sonokeling Wood

The uniqueness of Sonokeling wood from other woods is the purple-black color with a beautiful
texture. At a much cheaper price than teak, Sonokeling wood is highly durable and resistant to
termites. This makes it the perfect choice for those of you interested in the beauty of wood but
on a budget.

5. Mindi wood type

With a relatively cheap price, Mindi wood is a wood with moderate resistance, or more or less
equivalent to mahogany. Not very strong against termites and insects, but this wood can be
processed into wood products such as veneer, blockboard and pulp. Mindi wood generally
ranges in color from light brown to red, with straight grains.

6. Types of Pine Wood

Pine is a type of wood that is widely used as a raw material for minimalist furniture at low prices.
The texture is quite smooth and the colors are usually bright, making pine wood suitable for
making furniture in the room. Because when used as a material for making outdoor furniture,
pine is sensitive to changes in temperature and humidity, is weak to mold and easily rotten.

7. Types of Sungkai Wood

Sungkai wood is one of the most famous woods in Indonesia.
Of course, because the quality of Sungkai wood meets the carpentry standards, even if it cannot
be compared to Teak or Sonokeling wood. Unfortunately, the hardness of Sungkai wood is too
high, making it very prone to cracking, and the durability of this wood itself is not very good.
The combination of white and yellow colors and a somewhat rough texture are the characteristics
of Sungkai wood.
